The PAA Club "Miasto Gorlice" was founded on 6 December 2003. We currently have over 600 members. Our office is located in Gorlice on Podkościelna St. 2, which is where periodic meetings are held. The idea behind the founding of the Club was to popularise angling as an emotion-filled sport and to help protect the environment. Using the Club's funds as well as those from the Nowy Sącz Ward of the Polish Angling Association, we finance fish stocking and the operation of the Community Fishing Guard, construct spawning beds, educate children and teenagers. Of course, sport is a major focus of our activities. Each year we organise around twenty events.

Our Club operates on the rivers Ropa and Sękówka. Depending on the segment, in Ropa one can use fly fishing, spinning or legering. The upper part of the river is dominated by trout and grayling, and lower parts contain large populations of chub, nase and barbels. Downstream from the city one can also find pikes and perch. In the upper part of the river there is the Klimkówka reservoir with the area of over 300 ha, containing a significant population of zander and other lake fish. Our Club's members also have easier access to the Special Fishing Ground Siepietnica (former gravel pits). Nearby are the excellent fly fishing grounds - OS "Dunajec" (c. 80 km) and OS "San" (c. 100 km).
